The Noongar season of Makuru has arrived in Perth bringing with it cold wet weather. Traditionally Noongar people would move away from the coast to shelter from the wind and rain.
Marlee Morris will be using this time practice and prepare for up coming dance out season later in the year.
Weather permitting, we will be dancing at the Farmers’ Market at Perth City Farm on Saturday 7th June. We had a great time when we visited back in April and totally recommend the coffee and breakfast from the cafe! See our events section for more details http://marleemorris.morris.org.au/events/
Makuru is also the season of fertility with the Black swans decending on the inland lakes to pair up. We look forward to seing our namesakes.
